Special breathing techniques, mantras (humming sounds) and other practices caused the ching to flow through all levels of the physical being until it united with the cosmic principle. The only prerequisite was that the man - as well as the woman - honor each other as equal partners. The main focus was the enjoyment of the five "M"s,- namely mada (wine), matsja (fish), mamsa (meat), mudra (roasted seeds) and malthuna (intercourse).
